I met Judy Turenne’s Cassie (Dashwood Starrstruck Casiopia CD, AX, AXJ) in late 2006 and knew instantly that I wanted a puppy from her.  Tessie was born on August 22, 2007 and came home just in time to see the Red Sox win the World Series that year.

My Husband came up with the name “Tessie” after watching a documentary on the old Red Sox fan club, the Royal Rooters.  Here’s a link to the story.  I wouldn’t be a good Red Sox fan if I didn’t fear I may have jinxed the team that year but Tessie, like the 2004 song by that name, proved to be good luck.

Tessie is an easy going dog with an infectious smile.  She is polite, smart, sweet, flirty and loving.  People (and dogs) are drawn to her.  She melts into the legs of everyone she meets.

She was certified as a Therapy Dog at 15 months old and absolutely loves her job.  She also loves to train and she kept me busy learning and competing in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Tracking, “tricks” and cross-training skills.

Tessie produced two amazing litters and her son Tek (from the Song Litter – Penuche x Tessie) and daughter Paisley (from the Style Litter – Calvin x Tessie) remain with us today.
